DETECTION AND CONTROL OF FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCES

This course is designed for those that work around potentially hazardous atmospheres while working in the oil and gas industry. Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice, students will be introduced to flammable substances and how to safely assess and monitor hazardous situations. This course includes care and preparation of combustible gas monitors, interpreting combustible gas readings and an introduction to the principles of flammable gas/vapor detection.

Prerequisites: Students are asked to bring their own LEL monitor and pump.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years.
