Oilfield Driver Awareness (ODA)
This course is designed for professional drivers and workers in oilfield driving environments. Participants will gain knowledge to improve their on-road driving behaviours. Topics include regulations and policies of proper vehicle inspection, accessing road conditions and hazards, National Safety Code (NSC) requirements and defensive driving skills.
This course is approved by Alberta Transportation as a Professional Driving Improvement Course (PDIC). Participants with an Alberta Operator’s License who have received 80% or higher on the written examination are eligible for a reduction of up to three demerit points from their driver’s license from Alberta Transportation through any Alberta registries agent.
Prerequisites: None
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years.
