This course is designed to help students identify a confined space, knowing what protective equipment is needed for entry and the potential hazards. This includes knowledge and tools to identify gas hazards and controls, regulations, permits and lockout/tagout procedures. Students will also learn about employee and employer responsibilities when working in confined settings. Following a successful completion of the written exam, participants will engage in practical exercises (tank entry).
Prerequisites: Participants will engage in practical exercises. They must be physically capable of safely executing this procedure.
If you do not want to participate in the practical exercise, then please register for “Confined Space Entry Level 1: Theory” listed above instead.
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours (depending on class size), following Level 1: Theory Course
If you’d like to join us for Confined Spaces Level 1: Theory, but not participate in the Basic Rescue in-tank training, we’re happy to accommodate. Please contact us directly to book Confined Spaces Level 1: Theory only.
